About Me 2025

I was born in the San Francisco Bay area, but grew up a couple blocks from Lake Harriet.  Graduated from Southwest HS when it was a hockey champion. I went straight to the University of Minnesota for a year and a half before deciding to return to northern California where I obtained my BSN at Cal Poly Humboldt, Arcata CA.  I worked as a home health nurse and a jail nurse before finding a great position as an oncology and research nurse at the San Francisco Veterans Medical Center. Later I moved to France for 12 years where I taught in several large Universities and obtained a Masters in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (https://www.usnews.com/education/best-global-universities/public-environmental-occupational-health).  I also got married and we had 3 beautiful daughters. In 2013 I returned to the area to help with my mother who had advancing dementia.  My wife, 3 daughters and I  live in the Glenlake area since 2013.   For the last 10+ yrs I have worked at HCMC in ambulatory clinics, Hospice and Care Coordination. The whole family has a love for nature, food, music and the arts.  I would be happy to share more stories, just ask.  Minnetonka, The Twin Cities and Minnesota is such a wonderful area with so much to offer that I am hopeful we can protect what is here and help nurture a healthy and vibrant environment and culture forever.
